Gwenn Stearn

stearnGwenn Stearn has served as State Archivist and Public Records Administrator in the Secretary of State’s Office since 1995.  She began working at the Rhode Island State Archives in 1992, establishing the Local Government Records Program to assist municipalities with their records management functions, as well as the care of their historical records.  Previously, she held the post of archivist, and later headed a county record office branch in England, where she gained extensive experience with early records and their preservation.  Gwenn holds a Masters degree in Archives Administration from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom.
