350th anniversary of Rhode Island's "lively experiment" in religious freedom
David H. Leach is past president of the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association. A native Rhode Islander, his grandparents had the foresight to leave Eastern Europe before World War I and settle in Rhode Island where they were free to practice their religion as they saw fit thanks to Roger Williams. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Suffolk University Law School, David received a Masters of Public Administration from Rhode Island College. David serves on the executive committee of the Jewish Seniors Agency, the board of Rhode Island for Community and Justice, the Civil Rights Roundtable, and is a past chair of the Community Relations Council of the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island.
