Alison Maxell

maxellAlison Maxell is the Executive Director of the Providence Athenaeum.  She holds a Masters in Business Administration from Bryant University, a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelors in Business Education from the University of Maine.  Alison has been actively working in the library field since 1993.  She is a current member and alum of Leadership Rhode Island (Delta II Class of 2008). Although originally from Maine, she has made Rhode Island her home for the past seventeen years.  She and her husband John live in Lincoln, RI with their two daughters, Olivia and Delaney and a menagerie of small animals.
